You were never meant to carry Babylon’s shame. You were meant to walk in the King’s glory.

In Escape the Shame of Babylon, David Webb delivers a powerful call to break free from the lies, wounds, and religious counterfeits that have held God’s people captive for generations. Drawing from the biblical story of Israel’s return from exile, Webb explores a lasting problem. Although the people had left Babylon, the effects of Babylon had not completely left them.

The same struggle can affect believers today. Shame can follow people into worship, prayer, relationships, ministry, and leadership. However, God never intended His people to build their identity around shame.

What Is the Shame of Babylon?

Babylon was more than an ancient empire. In this book, Webb also presents Babylon as a spiritual system that produces fear, compromise, false identity, and bondage.

As a result, shame can become a powerful weapon. It whispers that you are unworthy. It can silence your calling, distort how you see yourself, and keep you focused on the failures of your past.

Yet shame does not have to define your future.

Leave Babylon Behind

Escape the Shame of Babylon points readers away from bondage and toward the restoring truth of God’s Kingdom. Through biblical teaching and practical spiritual insight, Webb challenges believers to examine the lies they have accepted and replace them with truth.

In this book, you will discover:

How shame can become a false identity—and how to break agreement with it
Why believers can experience salvation while still struggling with bondage
The difference between an “escape” gospel and the Gospel of the Kingdom
How to confront lies that have governed your past and silenced your future
Why believers are called to come out from Babylon’s systems
How to embrace restored identity, renewed purpose, and authority in Christ

Walk in Freedom and Identity

Freedom requires more than leaving something behind. Instead, believers must learn how to walk in the identity and purpose God has given them.

Therefore, Escape the Shame of Babylon is more than a message about shame. It is a call to righteousness, freedom, identity, and courageous obedience. Webb invites readers to recognize spiritual deception, reject false labels, and rediscover what it means to live under the rule of the King.

If you are tired of repeating the same cycles, this book offers a different path. If shame has followed you into worship, prayer, relationships, or leadership, there is a way forward. Most importantly, if you are ready to live according to your identity in Christ, the invitation is clear.

Come out of Babylon. Break the lies. Rise in your true identity. Walk unashamed into the Kingdom.
